Pat Burns said he?s honored to have an arena named after him, even as he conceded he likely won?t live to see it completed, according to an Associated Press report.
Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper attended an announcement Friday that the Pat Burns Arena will be built in Stanstead, a town near the Quebec-Vermont border. The former NHL coach, his voice left raspy by the cancer attacking his lungs, flew up from his home in Florida for the ceremony.

Teemu Selanne Scores 600th Goal
Teemu Selanne became the 18th player in NHL history to score 600 goals, reaching the milestone Sunday night in the Ducks? 5-2 victory over the Avalanche, according to an Associated Press report.
The only other European-born players in the 600-goal club are Finnish countryman Jari Kurri (601) and the Czech Republic?s Jaromir Jagr(notes) (646).
The 39-year-old Selanne is the fourth player to reach the milestone in the last four seasons, along with Jagr, Brendan Shanahan, and Joe Sakic.
Stewart, Stamkos, McCabe Named NHL's 'Three Stars'
Avalanche right wing Chris Stewart, Lightning center Steven Stamkos and Panthers defenseman Bryan McCabe have been named the NHL 'Three Stars' for the week ending March 7.
FIRST STAR -- CHRIS STEWART, RW, COLORADO AVALANCHE
Stewart led all NHL scorers last week with nine points (five goals, four assists) in four games as the Avalanche (37-22-6) closed the week two points behind the first-place Canucks in the Northwest Division title race.
